My hubby and I have an unusual relationship. We have been together almost 15 years, married for 12 of them. We are unusual because we are completely and totally happy to be together 24 hours a day/7 days a week. You don’t see this in most relationships. I have several friends and family that are totally happy when their spouse or significant other is gone or when they have time apart from eachother. This is a foreign concept to me. Granted, this could be seen as needy and probably would be with most other men, but it works for us. We are absolutely eachother’s best friends. With the nature of my hubby’s job, he can frequently be out of town or 2-3 hrs away on any given day. It’s been a few years since he’s had to stay out of town, but he has had quite a few days (weeks, months) where he has a 2 hr trip to and a 2 hr trip home from work. It would have been easier to say away, but that’s not how we work and he likes to be home. Enter the worry…..I worry about him driving that much. I worry about him leaving in the dark and returning in the dark and the exaustion that it must cause. He says it doesn’t, but how can it not? We love it when he’s off work, but the pay is terrible! It’s such a bitter sweet when he gets a call for work. Yay, our bills will be paid……but we won’t be together, which bums us out.
He was actually gone yesterday, for the first time in a few weeks, and one of the first things he said to me was, “I really missed you today”. That relit a fire under me. I have been working on getting my biz up and started. It’s so easy to make immediate cash, but I am looking for lasting income. I am involved in a home/internet based business that offers all natural wax candles, mineral make-up, and anti-aging products. It is so flexible and you can do it in your spare time. The products are the BEST and the company is awesome. It’s extremely low cost and you can make money from the first day.
I am anxious for the day that my hubby can hang up his toolbelt for good. I am committed and will make sure that this happens. What are you committed to and what steps will you take to make it happen today?
